All girls in grades 4 - 8 are invited to attend this event to better understand how friends and media can influence your identity, how to take back your pare, and how to put all your talents and abilities into positive activities that matter to you! Fee is $5 for Current Girl Scouts, and $7 for Non-Members

Early Bird:
Early Bird:
It's that time of year again. The early bird packets are here and have gone out. If you have not received yours please e-mail Peggie or come to the next SU meeting. For your convince instead of going to the council office to drop of your troops registration we have set up a drop off point at the Georgetown Library. All you have to do is drop off your packet with payment and we will do the rest..
Also at this time you may drop off your Leader Self Appraisal Form ( sent to your e-mail) and your Troop Bank Account Form. We will also have a sign up sheet for next gs year events

SWIM EVENT
SWIM EVENT: The Swim Event at the Parkview Y went great. We had about 200 people, 150 of them being kids! The girls and 3 boys all seemed to have a great time swimming, climbing the rock wall, playing basketball, throwing the frisbee, playing with the large parachute, making suncatchers and pipe cleaner crafts and having lots of fun. The girls all received a pool party patch. If someone in your troop didn't recieve theirs, please let me know.
LOST AND FOUND:
1. Grey and pink gym shoes
2. yellow Hawaii towel with black writing
3. purple goggles
4. blue goggles
5. blue stripped shirt
6. grey zip up jacket with short sleeves.
If any of these lost and found items belong to your girls, please me know. Michelle Lutz: cell: 610-7412 or home: 485-7909
Special thank you to eveyone that pitched in and helped out during the event especially Erika Lutz, Sheri Winfree, Gaylene Sherman-Mertz and daughter, Kelly Rice, Amy Rupp, Connie Jones and husband. If I left someone out and you helped out, thank you very much!

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE: Please join us as a service unit to march in the Memorial Day Parade this year!!
When: Monday May 30, 2011
Where: State/Parnell Ave to Memorial Coliseum
The parade begins promptly at 11:00am at Parnell Ave. and State St.
Line up and check-in starts at 10:00 am at the Park Center parking lot west of North Side Park.
Leaders please be there @10 so we can get our ducks in a row Smile. We will be walking together and singing.
If you have songs, send them to me and I will compile a list to pass out the day of the parade so we can try to sing as a unit.
It would be nice if everyone would bring a small flag to carry. You can pick these up at the dollar store.
Girls need to wear some type of girl scout item, vest or sash or a girl scout shirt. You can even wear your own troop t-shirts.
Please let me know approximate number of girls by Monday 23 if possible and no later than Thursday May 26.

Christmas Caroling
When: Sunday December 12, 12:30 to 3:30 pm
Where: We will meet at the Lahmeyer Road Firehouse for hot chocolate and snacks. We will also make Christmas Cards.
We will then go Christmas Caroling at Miller’s Merry Manor and the Veteran’s Hospital. Parents can pick their daughter up at the Veteran’s Hospital ( 2121 Lake Ave ) at 3:30.
Cost is $2 per girl to cover the cost of materials and a patch.

Come for a fun afternoon and a chance to brighten someone’s day!
